Juniors
Wokingham Netball Club caters for juniors at all ages.
U8/U9 (Years 3 and 4)
These sessions are a non-competitive introduction to the world of netball, teaching the essential ball skills and coordination to build upon as they progress up through the age groups.
U10 (Year 5)
U10s are given opportunities to put their skills into practice in occasional league and friendly games against other clubs and schools.
U11-U16 (Years 6 to 11)
Wokingham Netball Club enters between one and three teams in every age group of the Berkshire Junior Netball League. We also enter a team into the Wavell League as well as a team into a local social league.
We also enter tournaments as and when they are available.
For details of the league and fixtures, go to www.berkshirenetball.co.uk .
Training
For details of training days and times see our Training page.
Progression
Girls who show potential may be put forward to follow the England Performance Pathway and take part in trials for Satellite and County Academies.
Other Information
Girls selected to play in matches will need to purchase a team dress (see our Kit page for information on how to order kit).
We use HEJA to manage our junior teams which helps out a lot with availability for both training and matches. Coaches will need parent volunteers to help with time keeping and scoring at fixtures. Weekly registers are taken at all training sessions, so please make sure you notify your daughter’s coach if she is not able to attend. Players should arrive promptly for training sessions fully prepared.
