WNC is run by an elected committee and all members are encouraged to serve on the committee to take part in developing the club. We have split this into a main committee and several sub-committees in order to make the roles more accessible to our busy members.

The recently elected committee members for the 2017-2018 season are as follows.

Chairperson: Vicky Bowyer


Bowyer Vicky

Vicky has been our chairperson since 2010, during which time the club has grown considerably, with many additional junior training sessions as well as an increase in the number of teams entered into both local and county leagues. The enjoyment of netball for all participants is paramount and in order to enable this to run as smoothly as possible, streamlining the organisation of the club has been and still is an important aspect of her work. She is very well supported by the committee, all of whom are volunteers like her.

Tracey is an extremely enthusiastic and motivated player and committee member. A club member for more than 10 years, she plays for our South region and Berkshire Premier league teams. As a level 2 coach and C award umpire she also coaches Bracknell Seniors on Tuesday evenings.

Treasurer: Sally Evans



Sally has two daughters and has been involved with the club since her younger daughter joined in 2010. She works part time in two local schools and has been a treasurer of the school PTA and also a local Brownie pack. Sally became treasurer in January 2015.

Wyatt Katie

Katie joined the club in 2011 through the Back 2 Netball Programme and now plays for one of our Bracknell and District Netball League teams. She is also now a qualified C umpire.

Ronnie Bowes – Co-ordinating Coach

Ronnie has been part of Wokingham netball club since 1990 when she moved from London. She has been a committed player and supporter of Wokingham netball club bringing her enthusiasm for the game to all ages within the club. She has participated in many netball committees and is currently on the Berkshire Premier Committee and of course the Wokingham committee. The role of the coordinating coach is to support the coaches and the club. She is responsible for organising and chairing the coaches meetings and the conduit between the coaches and the committee. She is a Level 2 coach and a ‘C’ umpire.

Safeguarding Officer: Katie Bucknell



Katie is a qualified primary school teacher who has played for Wokingham Netball club in the Bracknell and District Netball League since returning from university in 2012. The girls’ enjoyment, safety and welfare has always been paramount at our club and Katie is an approachable and knowledgeable member of our committee for any safeguarding concerns.

Jen played at school and at university. When she moved to the area in 2013 Jen joined Wokingham Netball Club and now plays in the Bracknell and District Netball League.

Beth began playing netball at school, and continued through sixth form and university. She joined Wokingham Netball Club in 2012. Beth, has also taken time to coach junior teams.

Events / Fundraising Co-ordinator: Claire Kendrick


Claire has played for Wokingham for several years in the South Region and Prem squads. Claire has some great ideas for fundraising, and wants to help WNC provide the best team, facilities and opportunities for all the players, in all age groups.
